Restorative Justice

When I served in the Denver Public School system, I was trained in Restorative Justice, and it was extremely effective (when done fully and consistently). While it is certainly appropriate to deliver punitive consequences for egregious transgressions, most student infractions are better served to be handled through Restorative Justice.

Further, simply providing an environment whereby students and staff have a platform to have discussions, causes vastly more understanding and therefore fewer (if any) future issues.
