DDI (Data-Driven Instruction)
DDI (Data-Driven Instruction)
Without effective and consistent DDI including assessing pre, formative, and summative, there is no way of knowing what kids actually know.
I recommend having the following pre-assessments:
At the beginning of the school year (on the year's content)
At the beginning of each Unit (on that Unit's content)
I recommend having at least 3 daily formative assessments:
Warm-Up (Do Now)
Mastery Check (on the day's skill)
Exit Ticket
I recommend having the following summative assessments:
Weekly Quizzes (Fridays on that week's learning)
Assessments (End of Unit)
Also, it's important to state that all of the questions on all of the assessments need to be identified by standard. I talk more about Standards-Based Instruction on that page.
