One of the biggest challenges for teachers is to get kids to take notes and show their work. In 2025, we have lots of digital ways for that to happen.
However, for math classes, I've definitely found that kids need to do their work, traditionally, on paper and with pencils. An old-school interactive notebook is a great place for this to happen. There are tons of ways for you to setup and have kids organize their work--just be sure to pick one. Here are some suggestions:
Organize content by standard. You can color-code them.
Insert classwork into the notebook. This can be accomplished using scissors with glue or stapler.
Use a new page for every lesson.
Keep in mind, you will probably need more than one notebook for each student.
